Ancora.ai AG, a leader in AI-powered health solutions, today announced the launch of its international Brain Tumor Trial Finder (BTTF). Developed in collaboration with 5P Health Care Solutions AG and a multidisciplinary team of experts- comprised of providers, scientists, and patients-, the tool is designed to simplify the complex process of finding relevant brain tumor clinical trial options for patients, their families as well as the treating clinical community.
The new platform is the result of a collaborative effort with a dedicated expert team, including patient advocates Jason Binder, Chris Schuler, and Julia Veitinger, as well as leading clinicians and researchers Prof. Roger Stupp (MD), Prof. Irina Balyinkova (PhD), Prof. Sheila Singh, and Prof. Andreas Hottinger (MD).
BTTF utilizes advanced AI to analyze data from multiple global clinical trial registries, including Clinicaltrials.gov, ISRCTN, ANZCTR, and clinical study groups. It is designed to support patients with both primary and secondary brain tumors, offering a comprehensive and relevant list of potential clinical trial options.
"Navigating clinical trials can be overwhelming for patients and their loved ones, especially during an already challenging time," said [Dr Andreas Hottinger, Professor of Neuro Oncology at University Hospitals Lausanne, CHUV]. "Our goal with this tool is to provide a user-friendly, accessible, and accurate resource that empowers patients to make informed decisions about their treatment journey together with their care team."
Key features of the Ancora.ai Brain Tumor Trial Finder include:
- Expert-Guided, AI-Powered Matching: Advanced algorithms help patients find the most relevant trials based on their specific diagnosis and criteria.
- Comprehensive Coverage: The tool aggregates real-time data from all major global clinical trial registries.
- Accessible: The service is entirely free for patients and their families and can be easily accessed at .www.ancora.ai/braintumors.
- Support for All Brain Tumors: The finder is equipped to empower patients with primary and secondary brain tumors to explore trial options.
The launch of this tool marks a significant step forward in leveraging technology to improve patient access to potentially life-saving treatments. The collaboration with 5P Health Care Solutions AG ensures the tool is not only technologically sound but also deeply aligned with the needs of the patient community.
This project was made possible through the generous support of several philanthropy donors, as well as Carthera® , a clinical-stage MedTech company that is currently running the Sonobird trial comparing treatment with the SonoCloud-9 versus standard of care for first recurrence of glioblastoma.
Our hope is that this tool will empower more patients and their care teams to navigate clinical trials and better support shared decision-making.
